no prejudice in the 21st century

The Clinton exit speech: Beautiful, and I am saying that objectively because I think it was one of her best. This woman has the ability to turn me into a sloppy, teary-eyed mess. Much as Senator Obama has inspired so many, she has been my hero over the past several years and gets me in the chest (especially recently) when she speaks. I am proud of her; I am proud that even now she is saying the things we hoped she would say all along. That she is staying committed to her causes, preserving her legacy, and furthering what she has done for women, minorities, and all of the issues she has gotten behind. I was happily surprised she extended her speech not just to prejudices across gender and race, but several times mentioning the need to cross lines of sexual orientation, healing prejudices between gays and straights. I think she is a good woman, and I think this race has made her a better one. Our country is lucky to have her and I am glad she was gracious and threw herself behind the party. Hopefully it will make all the difference in November.
