Unfortunately, she's become quite adept at "playing the game". She has a lot of great ideas, but the whole system needs to be shaken up if America has any hope of redeeming itself. Of course, like you said, she is very specific, which is extremely important, unlike Obama's more idealistic "solutions". However, Hillary is a downright liar. To this day she won't admit it was wrong voting FOR the war in iraq, but now that it's gone sour, she's completely opposed. She's also a practitioner of dirty, underhanded politics, which unfortunately, seems to be a product of spending too much time in Washington. Not saying Barack is entirely innocent, but he at least makes an attempt to remain above the fray.
In my opinion, Hillary is the epitome of the democratic party, which essentially boils down to bogging down government and the democratic process with needless assistance programs, borderline socialist economic policies, and corporate cronyism (well that's both parties really). Look at her healthcare reform in the 90's for example. Well thought out and it would have done us a world of good, but when the profit based healthcare system started throwing it's weight around, she accepted quite a bit of money to keep quiet. She's just too much of a "politician" in my eyes, and it would be nice to see a president who hasn't been molded into a soulless automaton of our wonderful Corporate Republic.
Having voted for Ron Paul, I'm not sure who I'm going to get behind at this point, but I think the reason Obama is pulling ahead right now is because he seems like a genuinely good man with sound ideas. Hillary tends to come off as a bitter hag. Which bothers me because I think we could use a woman in office, but like most women who decide to become "successful", she tries to play tough with her male peers whilst sacrificing femininity. Which I think would be great for the giant dick waving contest that is modern goverment and world affairs.
