Natsu Scarf: more swatches

Well, here are the final swatches of all the yarns I got to test with. I'm trying to emulate Natsu's scarf from Fairy Tail, so this involves piecing knit panels together.

This is an example of Natsu with his scarf. As you can see, it seems to be four panels across. What I'm trying to do is emulate the overall look, so you can see that it's made of square panels. Of course, it had to be made of white/off-white yarn.

The test swatches with flash:

1. Caron Wintuk, worsted weight.
2. Sensation Angel Hair, bulky.
3. Lion Brand Yarn Jiffy, bulky.
4. Red Heart Baby Clouds, super bulky.
5. Patons Devine, bulky.

So, objective eyes, which looks closer to Natsu's scarf? I don't think 4 worked out all that well.

Other than piecing together, I'm sorely tempted to use a large basketweave pattern. It'll be straightforward squares, easy to do, just won't have the pieced look.
