Love and other Catastrophes: A Mix Tape

After reading Love and other Catastrophes: A Mix Tape, by Amanda Holzer, I was encouraged to research more about the author. The title is interesting because it seems to describe love as a catastrophe. There are many faults that love can face. For example divorce, adultery, and sexually transmitted dieases can all be a heart break and have life long consequences.  I enjoyed reading this piece of work. I liked how it was short, precise, and to the point. However, it does not seem like original work. I liked how it pointed out popular culture and what kind of music people like to listen to on their free time. My favorite part was when we got to create our own music poem. Love is truly like an air supply in life, it is essential to living.
