Well, I decided last night (stupid me) to shoot for the June 15th deadline to send in a completed 70,000-word or more manuscript to possibly win a publishing contract.
Sounds good, right? I'm a writer, I probably have manuscripts laying around, right?
Wrong.
The closest in length (and one of my best works) is a little over 50,000 words. (My WriMo)
Sounds easy to just add 20,000, don't it?
Wrong again.
See, I was REWRITING the novel back in April, typing it off of a hard copy that I have so I won't get lazy and just copy and paste.
Why is it such a problem?
I've got less than four days to do it. I'm on chapter ten out of forty-two original ones. I am so tempted to get out my original copy and just copy and paste the rest and just edit, but I swore I wouldn't. I don't even know if I can make it. I've had severe writer's block and decided to use this to break through it by forcing myself to rewrite something I've already written and making it ten times better.
What I'm saying is: someone please give me a good kick in the but and make me keep going! I don't know if I can do it! Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhh! *rips hair out*
