First of all - it's a long post. It was practically tl;dr if it wasn't "mandatory". It feels more like you've gone on a long rant about something that you don't like, rather than a long detailed explanation for your actions (which it probably is, in reality). That's why it's rubbed me the wrong way, and possibly why it's been taken badly by others.
I think you basically have to accept the fact that fandoms slow down and die. You're doing your best, and I thank you for it, but mankin hasn't seen new material for ages, and until the "true ending" is released next year, I doubt you'll have much action. As it is, the community is pretty active thanks to your efforts, and there are people who are contributing more on a regular basis already -- this is better than a lot of dead fandoms i've been a part of before. I think perhaps keeping it small, helping other members get to know each other on a more personal level, etc. might help. That friending meme idea you had a while back was pretty fun.
Leechers are a problem yes, but there's not a lot you can do about them other than ask "Please comment if taking". People will leech anyway, but as long as they see the words they'll possibly be more aware of your intentions. In some communities, leeching is preferred to prevent comment spam, but in others they're appreciated because people want their work to be acknowledged.
Quite frankly though, if you're looking for praise and thanks, scanlating such unknown doujinshi and posting it in a dying community probably isn't the way to go. I've seen you post on yaoi_daily before, and that's probably a better idea to get people interested in the pairing and expand the fanbase rather than shut it down or cut out members.
Those are all good ideas (I really don't remember anything about a friending meme, so if you cas tell me a bit more about it, I'd rally appreciate it) and I do like them a whole lot better than having to let go of people.
I haven't uploaded much on the other communnities because, I want this club to have things that they will have to join to be able to get. I have thought about uploading them in shaman king Lj, but all the fan ones I've met, I think some, at least would consider it to be spam, whcih is a pity, because I'm sure that's where they'd have the best reception.

I meant the post you made a while ago after emailing everyone telling us to introduce ourselves. You could probably do a proper friending meme of sorts, or I could make and post one when I have some spare time. ^^'
I know what you mean about not uploading much elsewhere, but posting a few on other communities and saying "there will be more at asakuralove if you're interested!" might be helpful? Personally I can't stand it when people advertise things on a community that you have to join before you can download, but you could advertise it once and a while saying "these are the releases we've had this month" or something like that. Though, advertising the community in that way will attract leechers who join and never do anything.
Anything to help, really, because i'm a part of this fandom as inactive as I am and I want to do what I can. :/

I'm gonna be talking with Yoh later today, but I think what we might end up doing is communicating with everyone and askign what could we do so they'd want to take more action in the comm, but either way, I'd really appreciate it if you did that post, whenever you have the time for it.
