Returnage
Back from my trip to China and Hong Kong. Overall, I'd say it wasn't bad. I mean the heat and the humidity was killer like expected. Airplane food sucked majorly! I didn't really get any time to go exploring/shopping, which kinda sucked. I didn't really get to eat any of my favorite foods. The hotel we stayed at was small and you could totally tell that they just stuck in an extra bed to make it for three people. What was with combining shampoo/bath gel into one thing at the hotels? They're not the same thing! (this really bothered me for some reason) The relatives on my dad's side of the family continue to be stupid, stupid people that I want to kick in the face on a regular basis!
But then you know, I got to see my grandma and we celebrated her 91st (!!!) birthday early and she was really happy. ("I've never eaten so much before! The food was delicious! I've never eaten so much before! I didn't think it was possible! Wow!") I'm really glad we went to see her (even though every time I go, there's this ache inside and the natural fear that arises when faced with the inevitable). I -did- get to buy Silver Diamond 1-10 (I regretted not getting this series last year), Mushishi 10, Tsubasa 18, Vampire Knight 4, and Natsume Yuujinchou 2-3. I also got a Nodame keychain (it's Nodame in her mongoose costume XDD), 2 Dearka and 1 Lacus from the Gundam Seed Fortune thingies, the Kira Voice I-Doll from Seed Club (too bad the batteries don't work argh), and YET ANOTHER Lunamaria from GSeed/Destiny Petit Studio. Oh, and a Code Geass necklace and cellphone strap. I bought the last two items on a whim since I had money left and...yes, MUST BUY SOMETHING impulse was in full force. I also got to "bond" with my brother. But you know, since we have to keep each other company/from going crazy on trips like these, it's fairly normal. XDD (we get so, so retarded though)
Yeah, overall, it wasn't too bad. I think I just wanted more time to actually do fun stuff instead of eating way too many dinners and pretending to socialize with my parents' friends and relatives. Oh well~ :D Now I'm jetlagged and awake.
OH ANOTHER AWESOME THING. My brother and I totally bought Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) 4 while we were in HK. Haha, of course, you know, it's in Japanese so we couldn't play it right away, but it was pretty exciting. XDD ::dork:: I can't wait for the third game to come out.
And now...I really should attempt to sleep. I think I'll probably just lay there in my bed and think about how wonderful it is to be able to have a proper shower with separate shampoo and bath gel. How I can hog my whole bed to myself. How it's my own bed! How I don't need to blast the air conditioning in order to survive. :D Life's pretty good~
