The Blatent Advertising, It Burns!

The new season of Eureka premired tonight.. given that the season premire of Stargate Atlantis utterly failed (really, having a woman running full out only minutes after giving birth, not especially plausible, or well written at all) I wasn't expecting much.. and I was completely blown away.  Eureka is shaping up to be GREAT this season.

The mastermind of the panic lasted until the last 10 minutes of the episode even, and the solution was unorthodox, and she's shaping up to be even greater at causing trouble right from under the noses of the good guys than the enemy of the first seasons.

I'll really be looking forwards to Tuesdays this season if it keeps up like this.  The only bad side effect.. the blatent advertising of the new character is bringing with her is painful.. Degree logo was everywhere.

And one of the main characters, and one of the most helpful minds in solving most of the cases in the first seasons, is in jail.  And though he could probably get out no problem, he seems intent on not being there to help this time.. which means it's going to be a bit harder to understand, as he was the one who brought all the 'techno-babble' into normal terms to make it appeal to the less educated masses.  Probably going to be shrinking of their fanbase because of that unfortunately.

Dad asked a good question as we were cleaning up afterwards though.. the woman who worked at the town drycleaners was the sherriff's girlfriend and his daughter's boyfriend, both relationships were starting up, and neither of them showed up at all in the series premire.. a little odd, although the deputy's boyfriend showed up, that was because he was one of the top minds in solving the case.  So what happened to the rest of them?

We were given the sense that time had passed between the seasons, but didn't get to really see how the human aspect of the show was going to be played out.
