I kinda liked the pace, it moved quickly, it was entertaining, the huge TARDIS looked stunning and so on. River's goodbye was very sweet and actually made me a bit teary (and I never really liked her). BUT WTF???? Introducing another incarnation between the 8th and 9th Doctor that is not named the doctor because he's The Valeyard (I never saw any episodes, but basically he's something between the 12th and final incarnation of the Doctor that combines all his dark sides) or rather another version of the Valeyard???? WTF? So it wasn't the 8th Doctor who did the Time War and the destroying of Gallifrey it was some INBETWEEN DARK INCARNATION that did not go by the Doctor but is named THE DOCTOR in big letters TWICE.
I FEEL VERY STRONGLY ABOUT THIS AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY.
I really shouldn't care. I've never seen the 8th Doctor, only pictures, but Paul McGann seems to be a splendid guy and would have deserved another chance as Doctor and bringing him back for the 50th anniversary would have been great.
Oh well, only half a year wait and then we'll get David back on our screen for an episode. No sorrow will live in my heart with that joy - save one, but hopefully it will be worth it.
