Sherlock once again...
I have a free evening so I re-watched a Study in Pink with subtitles and trying to catch what is actually canon and what is fanon. Suprisingly I noticed that a lot of things that pop up in fanfiction are all right there. Obviously I don't observe, I just watch :)
How come I never really noticed/remembered the eyes in the microwave? The RAMC mug? And other tiny tidbits.
Something that's really strange, now that I look through fandom goggles though is how quickly Sherlock and John got friends. It's mentioned often enough by everyone around them, but still. I think John got Sherlock the second he told him he could use his phone. Doesn't really sound like something someone with trust issues would do, don't you think? Sherlock seemed suprised too. There's plenty of similar stuff like this. I think it's brilliantly protrayed in that it's so subtle to a casual viewer, but at the same time totally over the top if you actually look!
I'm glad I watched the first series without fandom goggles :) The Scandal in Belgravia put the goggles on me :)
