Back in Japan

I went back to the America for three weeks. It was a good trip. The Japanese are right; everything is really big there. It was nice to drive my car again. I drove 2500 miles. I saw my new nephew. He is pretty cute. The flight there was fine, and so was the flight back, until the landing in Narita, and then DAMN FUCK that was the scariest thing that ever was. There were really stupidly strong winds at the airport, and the plane was lurching and swaying the whole way down, and we were just about to touch down when a gust made the plane rock sharply to the left. I thought the wingtip was going to catch on the runway. The pilot hit the throttle and took back off, then we looped around to try it again. Argh! Luckily we landed ok on the second try, and there was actually applause in the cabin, like in the movies. It probably wasn't as close as it seemed, but it was bad enough. I don't like flying very much anyway, so I didn't need that.

So anyway, I've been really psychologically off balance since then. I was really depressed for a week, then really angry for no reason, impatient and irritable (more than usual), but hopefully I'll settle down pretty soon.

I got a job, did I mention? It's not too bad, part time and decent pay. Hopefully it'll be enough for me to renew my visa. And I brought my keyboard back from the US with me. I'm going to be doing another film score for my friend in Ohio. The last one turned out pretty good so I'm looking forward to doing this one as well. It's only a 10 minute short so it shouldn't be too much work.
