Power outage
We had a little excitement at work today. Our power spontaneously turned off around 10:30am. The only thing that worked in the store was my register...we're still not sure how that didn't turn off. We kept taking customers for about 20 minutes, but then we were told we had to lock the doors and prevent anyone else from entering. Cody and I made signs saying that the store was closed due to a power outage, and naturally everyone continued to drive up, park, try to pump gas, then pound on the doors with looks of confusion. Unbelievable. So Cody and I decided to just stand outside and explain the situation to everyone that came by. Some people were really rude (mostly the people that wanted cigarettes). Oh well, I got to leave work early so I was happy. The power in Ada didn't get turned back on until about 5:00pm, no one is really sure what happened. There were rumors that a train went by and hit a transformer...but I'm pretty sure that is physically impossible, so who knows. One thing I do know though is that I am sooo ready for a vacation! I actually should be packing right now, but my room is a disaster area because I had the brilliant idea of trying to clean out my closet today. I don't have the energy to put it back together tonight, so I have that to look forard to when I come back :( For those of you who care I will be returning on July 31st. I will be without a cell phone and internet access until then. Well, there is a computer at the library that I'll have to use every once in awhile to get some of my online homework done. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's not dialup... Hope everyone has a great week. Try not to miss me too much ;)
