CONCERT: Avenged Sevenfold

So I went to a concert last night. ^_^
Avenged Sevenfold
Three Days Grace
Bullet For My Valentine

I'd already seen Bullet once back in September, but at the time they were headlining and had a much longer set, so last night they didn't have time to play too many of their older songs, which I generally like better than the newer ones. :/ Also, the energy was completely different since this concert had seating, and the last one was basically just a mosh pit.

Three Days Grace was a lot better than I expected them to be. Their light show was pretty good. I forgot how attractive Adam is for whatever reason. Thought I Don't Care sounded weird when they started playing it but then I remembered it's normally played on cellos... When he started rapping in the middle of Home I was kind of just confused. Still not sure if I'm offended or if it made my day.

Avenged Sevenfold was amazing. Before they came out, some guy fell out of the ceiling and faked hanging himself, stayed up there the entire time they played Nightmare (for which I commend him, because there is no way I could sit there and pretend to be dead like that for 6 or 7 minutes, especially when such amazing music is playing right below me). The stage was set up like a graveyard, which I thought was pretty awesome. I'd never seen such an amazing display of pyrotechnics before. Holy shit. When they played So Far Away and the crowd became a sea of lighters, my heart broke. At some point, they turned the lights off so they could rearrange the stage, and a lot of people thought it was over so they started leaving. Then they began playing Fiction, empty piano in the spotlight, and people STILL continued to leave, which seriously pissed me off, because not only is it just plain stupid to leave before a concert is over, but it's ridiculously disrespectful to leave during THAT song out of all of them. Afterwards, they played Save Me, and the concert ended with the repetition of "tonight we all die young" which was amazing just by itself.

If you haven't seen Avenged Sevenfold live before, put it on your bucket list. Definitely a night to remember.
