I suppose you could call it running away, you know. But he wants the Hufflepuffs to have time away from him and so that everyone can cool down separately. So long as Kevin doesn't find us, I think it's not a terrible idea, actually.
I know that he is not alone in being Susan's friend, but he has felt very isolated. Particularly by Wayne and Hannah congratulating Susan, which while I know is what you do when someone gets engaged, made him feel like they were supporting her marrying someone who doesn't always treat her well.

Yes, but Zacharias should have been able to see past that. What galls me is that he might actually think Wayne and Hannah could wish Susan ill.
Private to Luna: Don't apologise for him. He has to face the people he hurt himself and cop it if he's going to learn for next time. It's like when I used to apologise for Millicent - it just buys time, nothing more.

He will realise that he's wrong when he calms down, you know. Hannah and Wayne are simply not as aware of Theodore as he and Stephen are.
Private to Ernie: I am not apologising for him, which was something he asked me not to do himself as he is aware this situation is his fault. As I said, he will calm down eventually.

I will be happy to reconcile with him if he apologises to Hannah. She has just as much right to consideration as Susan and what he said was very upsetting. I know his intentions are good, but it does not prevent me from being angry when he behaves in a hurtful manner.
I agree with that as well, you know. He showed me the entry and what he wrote to you and Hannah was not fair at all, and was very unkind. I think from the way that he explained things to you showed that some small part of his mind was aware that you do not know the things about Theodore Nott that he and Stephen do, but it was almost like he did not realise it at the time, actually.
