I've decided that Muggle Studies is my least favourite subject. Yes, even less so than History of Magic, which is very inappropriately named given that most of it is lies, actually. Mythology of Magic, more like, or Mystery of Magical Truth. For one thing, it's really like a history class, but for Muggles, and History is written according to the victors, so it's never as factual as people think, actually. How can it be with only one point of view being put across? Which is why I think this paper that McGonagall is starting is a very good idea, you know. The truth is so important, particularly now.
So I finished my essay on the United States, in which my theory about how the Americans sent soldiers to Vietnam and Korea when it was none of their business was that American Muggles are against anything that's North, not South. Perhaps they want to completely irradicate the concept of something being northern from their lives, just like they took the letter "u" out of most words. Which is why they supported South Korea and South Vietnam, not North Korea and North Vietnam, you know. But I was away from the library when I was at home and didn't have all my research materials with me, actually. then I read a book called Uncle Tom's Cabin and I realised that Americans not only have a North, but (after some more research) that the North actually won against the South in their civil war.
I don't mind being proven wrong in order to learn the truth, but now my theory is ruined and I have to rewrite my entire essay again. And it's due tomorrow, actually. To my Ravenclaw housemates, I will need to drink coffee, you know. I am warning you now.
Also, where is Harry? For the past two evenings I haven't seen him at the Gryffindor table, actually.
