Do you remember how, in this post, I invented a trick for hiding one picture underneath another picture? The end result of this was that different users would see a different picture, depending upon what browser they were using. OK, I know what's going wrong for you but not why.
I use code in order to stack one image on top of the other (one is in a normal
tag, the other is the background of the table). For some reason, your browser isn't closing off the table properly, and it's stretching across the screen (instead of being the width of the image). That's why you see the background image repeated, because background images always tile to fill the available space by default. Please look again and tell me if it's fixed.
