Summer Reading

Jul 02, 2008 12:58

I plan to catch up on (some rather serious) reading these summer holidays:

This is my (rather ambitious) reading plan:

1. Ibn Hisham's  earliest Biography of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) entitled Sirat Rasulallah (translated into English by A. Guillame).
2. Dia al Nabi by Justice Shaykh Pir Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari (THE best academic biography of the Prophet in recent times: in seven large volumes of Urdu).
3. Proust's In Search of Lost Time -- considered by many the greatest novel of all time.
4. The 1001 Nights (Burton's Translation)
5. The Adventures of Amir Hamza.

So, lets see how I do. :-)
