To the manor Bourne...fairs...GED...

I've been back at school teaching again for a week! It feels like I didn't have a summer break but going back has made me realise how much I actually enjoy this job!
What else is new? Not so much really. In the last week I've watched all 3 of the Bourne thrillers and I have to admit they were superb films--really well made and gripping as an octopus's tentacles, and great fun. I'd definitely watch a 4th movie if it gets made.

I also purchased GED by Hofstadter as it is a great book and also because parts of it will be useful for teaching my course on the Theory of Knowledge...

There was a huge fair on last weekend in the suburb where I live which ended in a massive firework display which was something I haven't seen for ages--Germany, well Frankfurt at least, has almost always got some streetparty or fair going on in some part of the city.which is a really great way of spending our tax money as people enjoy themselves. Here it seems --unlike in parts of England--the council actually does stuff with money!

Have started to pray again, thank God--my experiments with a hedonistic, irreligious lifestyle just made me unhappy inside and empty. I have realised it is not me. The Faith is too much a part of me! May Allah forgive me and open my heart, purifying it. Talking of which I downloaded an interesting Spanish movie about the life of St. Teresa of Avila. With Paz  "Julia y el sexo" Vega in the starring role as the famous 15th century Christian mystic. The movie explored her visions and spiritual states...

Not much else. Today I am going to the English Theatre in Frankfurt to watch Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Should be fun.
Might go travelling again soon as I've got a itch and prices are much cheaper at this time of year...Paris and Granada are both places I'm considering...
