omg. haven't been on LJ in like 20 years. And by 20 years I mean 4 months. But it might as well be 20 years, right? Let's see... can't believe it's already November!! Crazy. Where did the year go? Though, gotta admit it feels like it's been way longer than 4 months considering pretty much everything in my life has completely changed. I'm really loving the new house, but I'm missing CMU like nobody's business (even though I'm up there all the time to visit Alex!) I just miss my old life. I miss my apartment, I miss all my friends, I miss Carol, I miss Jen & Lu, I miss tailgating, I miss studying for tests and writing papers (bet you thought you'd never hear me say that! I never thought I would either...) I miss CMU. So. Much. College really is the best time of your life. Ok now I sound like an after-school special. I'll stop. Eee.
So, my life as a "grown up"... pros and cons:
working 2 jobs not so fun - I would not recommend it.
not being able to see my boyfriend when I want to because of said 2 jobs - crappy
paying back student loans - also pretty crappy.
missing out on college fun like tailgating/beer pong parties/thursday nights at the blackstone - sad.
having my own house - definitely kick ass.
knowing that I'm done with school - oh so gratifying
becoming a citizen of the world - priceless
Excited for next friday - my first cmu football game as an alum!! Not to mention the Alex & Nick birthday extravaganza.
