[Today is busy but boring, and Cameron is a little distracted as she checks the sign-in and pulls the next patient's file from the pile. Not that it's much of a file; the lack of medical records does nothing to make their jobs any easier here.]
Angela Montenegro?
[The name rings a bell, and she glances up, curious to see who answers to it. Chase's neighbor, isn't she?]

It's your turn.
[She flourishes the folder to illustrate the point, head tilted a little, catching a glimpse of what the other woman is doing-- if not the finer points of the artwork. Well, they've plenty of pamphlets printed, and the boy next to her seems to be enjoying it.]

[Cameron smiles politely and leads the way back to the empty exam room, shutting the door behind them.]
I'm Dr. Cameron. What can I do for you today?

I'm fine. It's nice to meet you in person...
[She flips idly through the papers- mostly just xeroxes of near-empty forms, of course; too bad the Deities can't be bothered to bring everyone's info along when they kidnap people. Cameron glances up at Angela's announcement of the reason for her visit. Well, there's something to be said for getting straight to the point.]
That shouldn't be too much of a problem. Were you on it at home?

If it's any consolation, he'd say it even if you were in for a cold. Right. Are you on any other medications? Herbal supplements count, too, in this case.

[That's pure agreement and nothing more-- she's done enough explaining-- not quite apologizing-- on the older doctor's behalf. Cameron, on the other hand, does not hate clinic duty, and has no reason not to make this easy on Angela. Well, she could probably think up some uncharitable thoughts if she wanted to-- but that isn't really her inclination. She grabs a blood pressure cuff, and gestures to Angela's arm.]
Roll up your sleeve... Do you smoke?

[She fastens the cuff and starts inflating it.]
Unless you drink heavily, it shouldn't be a problem.
[The cuff is taut, and Cameron puts on her stethoscope, bending to listen as the cuff deflates.]

[She smiles a little at the compliment, but it's a subdued reaction. Cameron is not entirely comfortable with being pretty. Not because it's a patient saying it, or even because it's another woman, but because she's always been a bit paranoid of being dismissed as merely a pretty face. And vanity is a luxury she tries to deny herself.]
Cameron is fine, or Allison if you prefer.
[She straightens, still smiling, and turns back to the countertop to make a few notations on the chart. Neatly bringing things back to Angela, without being overly rude-- it's a practiced maneuver.]
All right... unless you have any other conditions you didn't mention, I don't see a problem writing your scrip.
