I need a blog on scientific research and public policy that is grounded in good science and that is reasonably empathetic to libertarian and left leaning skepticisms about how corporate influence/political ideology, etc., can affect establishment sources like the US federal government and mainstream health organizations like the American Cancer Society. To answer questions like:
* What are the likely health effects of a mobile phone tower? How far from homes/schools should they be placed?
* Fluoride in the water: if we get rid of it, will poor children's teeth suffer?
* Coal mining: how dirty is coal, even 'clean coal' from start to finish?
If you could provide this one-stop-shopping site for science and public policy,
Thanks!
alas
public policy,
science
