Design for prom bid! I better not be getting a rejection for this, because people who ask for things two days before they're due can't be choosers (this refers to whatever administrative person prints these things out, not Cecilia).
I only had a day when I could work on this, hence the half-assed everything. :\ I would have liked to make the costumes a little less sunday-in-the-park 20s and more prommy (but then you risk going flapper!unoriginal). I like the lady in profile, especially her lips.
Nuns will make me a rebel DX
Big Nurse-Nun made me take off my tights because they were yellow, and yellow is Not Allowed. We're not allowed to go around without socks either, but she informed me that going without socks was better than "waltzing around with lemon-yellow legs". What can I say, one day it's yellow leggings, the next it's going to be mind-altering drugs. Corrupting our youth!!
And then she yelled at me for not wearing regulation shoes. Seniors have a privilege to wear any kind of shoe, or so I thought--in fact, we are only allowed to wear any kind of tennis shoes (the regular kind of shoes are dress shoes). And mine were dress shoes (because tennis shoes don't look good on me). They were nearly regulation, except that they had flowers on them, and the flowers had green leaves. Green is NOT REGULATION. Now, if I had come in wearing falling apart basketball shoes in bright orange, it would have been fine. Because those are tennis shoes, and therefore Regulation.
We only have ten days of school left or something. DX Come ON guys. No one's even looking at our shoes except other students, occasionally. No one besides the nuns even remembers what the dress code IS!
The irony is that the nuns never catch flagrant rule-breakers--the Martyrs can dress in skanky-ass cut-off jeans and get away with it, but the moment someone wears something fashionable it's DETENTION. The answer is that the administration all secretly want to be on What Not to Wear, and in the meantime are taking it out on people who are Fabulous.
