Yesterday I got drunk with my mother. It was an interesting experience, and one which included tiramisu. I finished a notebook last night, too. It usually takes me a couple years to do so, so it's exciting. I'm going to try to be more prolific this time, though.
Depending on my performance next semester, I might go to grad school. Not too long ago I thought I'd never write anything anyone would ever want to read. I wasn't even sure I'd graduate. Now I might go for a master's? Life is weird. More about this later.
I had a long conversation about sex with a good friend last night. It was therapeutic.
Last week was "Senior Week," which is this thing Longwood does every May; there's a week between exams and graduation during which seniors get to dick around. I'll be a December graduate, not May, which in no way prevented me from dicking around in Farmville for a week. I consumed vast quantities of spirits, swam in the Appomattox River, roasted marshmallows, and spent many happy hours in the company of some of my favorite people. I am very glad that I decided to postpone the road trip to Montreal that I had planned for that week.
Anyone want to go on a road trip sometime, maybe the end of summer? I was thinking Baltimore, New York City, Boston, Montreal, and then camping in the Adirondacks on the way back. I just need to find the time and save up some money for gas, food, and Canadian whisky.
I miss Farmville something awful, and I just left it yesterday. I love the town; I love the people I've met there; I love the river. I love the bars, few though they are. I love the Cash & Carry; I love Walker's Diner; I love Madeline's House. I'm thinking seriously about quitting my job at Colonial Williamsburg and finding a job and a place up there. It probably won't happen, but it's nice to dream.
To the list of things I need to try before I die, I'm adding slivovitz. I can subtract punching someone in the face.
