My perfect day.
So I've been talking to Paul and my mother about exactly what I want out of my life and how to achieve that. To that end, here is what I would consider an ideal day. Not something that will happen every day, of course, but something to aspire to.
In my ideal day, my friends and I would get together at someone's house and have a nice lunch while we played games. D&D, Settlers of Catan, Arkham Horror, Carcassone, Munchkin, maybe even hook up a LAN. We'd get the games cleaned up and help cook a wonderful dinner. After dinner, we'd all gather up a bunch of blankets and pillows and snuggle up together and watch a good movie, or discuss things, or play music, or sing. Then we'd all fall asleep and have fantastic dreams.
The best part of this is that it's TOTALLY DOABLE. I've had nights like this already! Sure, I could make lists of things I want, everyone could. But those things aren't what I -need-. Good friends and human contact and awesome fun times are what I need. Fancy trips or toys or whatever are just icing on top of that.
