It is small but mostly ineffective way of preventing it... it is more of a way to delay it (even if the delay is only for as long as a google search takes)

Its like baby proofing a power outlet... it works until they pry the cap off with a fork and get shocked that way.

I could dis-friend you since you have stupid ass religious beliefs, I'm not going to since I understand that's what you are in to. (not saying that your specific belief is stupid, just that any belief is stupid [Go Atheism!])
Parents have enough shit to deal with, removing dictionaries might just be one more way to make things easier for some of them. When they want to ban all books in general, that's another story. Who knows, maybe getting rid of that dictionary when the kid was 8 years old will prevent them from fucking when they are 12...

When you have kids just pack a dictionary in with their lunch.

Give Nessie another chance... Oh and try not to take anything I said too literally some of it is just to get a rise out of you to hopefully prove a point in some way...
