Not going to lie: even though I have yet to see The Hurt Locker, Kathryn Bigelow's win made me tear up a little. Progress, guys, progress.
I also have to point out that while much will be made of her win, and rightfully should, there was another historic event tonight: Geoffrey Fletcher became the first black screenwriter to win an Oscar.
