Wow, I hadn’t realized how much hate the NCR gets. Sure, they aren’t perfect, can do downright mean things, and impose where they aren’t welcome, but I honestly prefer them to the likes of the Legion and Mr. House. At least with the NCR you aren’t forced to kill the Brotherhood of Steel in order to progress. The Wild Card path is my favorite, but I still have a soft spot for the NCR. My first Courier sided with them, and I plan on making another to side with them in the future. Maybe it’s because I like to play as good guys and don’t go around killing random people or causing random chaos, so the NCR has no reason to hate me.
