Aw thank you, sweetheart. If you're serious I can tell you where to get one. It's a copy of the design of Arwen's "Evenstar" necklace from the Peter Jackson LOTR Trilogy movies:
Of course I know it's Arwen's necklace, silly! I've been coveting it forever. Which is really since FOTR came out. I totally forget how old I was.
Except I was mad because Arwen usurped what was really Glorfindel's place in the story. At least, I think it was Glorfindel's. I need to reread the books.
I'm rambling. I'll stop now. *grin*
But thanks so much for the link! I'll talk to my parents and see if the Evenstar could be a possible Christmas present. Mwuaha.
Sorry this is SO late, but I missed the comment for some reason.
Yes, she did indeed usurp Glorfindel, but he did put in an appearance at the Council of Elrond. I think they wanted to get a bit more of a female role going. Tolkien was criticised for not including enough female characters in his writing and it is also a little known fact that if Arwen had not given up her place on the last ship, Frodo would not have gone. She was the first to tell Frodo that "he would go in her place" and is the first person in the book to forecast his journey to the west. She deserves respect. (Oh, what a nerd I am - and I like it!)
Hey, I'm cool with nerdiness. It's what makes this world of our go 'round!
But I'd forgotten that Frodo had taken Arwen's place on the ship - though how I could've missed that, I've NO idea. Common sense, really.
I agree, though, that Arwen deserves respect. Although I, personally, was always the type that just wished she was my mother. Come on, think about those genetics. Any descendant of Arwen and Aragorn would have the best of the gene pool indeed.
I. Want. Your. Necklace.
Furthermore, you have beautiful eyes.

I think mine is slightly smaller and cheaper than the new-style one they're advertising now, but it looks the same.

BTW Arwen and Aragorn DID bear a child. Their son was called Eldarion and became King of Gondor after his dad.
