merrry chistmas / familes suck
so christmas is over. thank god. it wasnt as painful as previous years, mostly due to not seeing my family all that much. but this was the first year i cooked, mum and leon helped but i did most of it. it was ... intense. but it was fun. kate helped with the pork, which turned out awesome! it was my favourite. we had turkey and chicken too. tasty!
gran came and had christmas with us. we were cooking and it was taking longer than we'd hoped. (15 minutes - which isnt alot to most people but for a 90 year old woman who is pretty sick, its quite a while) so she's not looking too well and for about 1/2 an hour i had visions of spending christmas in the emergency room. luckily she came around.
then after lunch i semi fell asleep watching an old fred astair movie on the couch. which was nice. then it was off to melbourne to see denzo's parents and celebrate with them. that was nice. they have a new big plasma tv. its huge. then denzo finished work and we came home.
i got lots of presents, namely bbq stuff (i got a bbq for my birthday) and west wing on dvd, perfume, some other stuff. lots of chocolate. a vegie cook book and a fern for the house. its nice to have plants inside.
it was a nice christmas. i cant wait till i do it with my family and i dotn have to see my other family and then david can come and be crazy uncle david. it will be awesome.
now i must drink juice and wake denzo up so we can go and sort out stuff for housesitting and then go into the city so he can work and i can go to boxing day sales.
