Happy New Years!!
Well I think our first party went rather well. It took a while to get up into swing but as people were here until 4am, I think everyone enjoyed themselves. We had tempura all night thanks to Ian, tasty Porta Rican rice thanks to Ricardo, and a game of Warehouse (mafia). That was funny and took up a lot of the party time with laughs and accusations. And I can't help it if I turn red and smile when playing games, but it doesn't make me the werewolf, always. Josh, Zach and I played Clue while the others played/watched Left for Dead on the Xbox. Then we watched History of the World Part 1, a Mel Brooks film. And Josh brought Gloom which is a hoot. George and I tied for first even though he killed his family first. Lots off food. My stomach today insisted on nothing fried, no cupcakes, cookies, or chips. AHH. Funny quote from Josh about Cutco knives, "We have a game in our house, it's called Throw the Pineapple at Me."
Anyway, I had a blast, and even though we made it alcohol free, we allowed Ian his cooks privilege of Rum and beer. And Matt's friend his Champagne. Which they shared with those who really wanted it. We just didn't want a party for the sake of drinking. We wanted to hang out with friends and ring in the New Year. Which happened during a Werewolf game so was not high cheered in, just recognized as we failed to get the werewolf. I had a blast. Now I will need to host game nights. We have clue and Life, and could use some more, but people can bring theirs. It would be awesome!
