Just finished a slew of emails to choir people. There was a big-pep-talk email, a few I'm-begging-you-to-sing-on-Sunday-even-though-you-missed-rehearsal emails (since there was no bass section at rehearsal the other day), and even an I-understand-that-you-cannot-commit-to-choir-at-this-time-even-though-you've-been-telling-me-since-September-that-you'll-join email. Phew! Now that that's done I can spend the rest of my day communicating with kids (one piano lesson in the morning, two in the afternoon, and Quinn all day, of course!), which is sometimes easier than with the adults!

At least my "O Holy Night" solo situation resolved itself the other night when one of my sopranos ceded the ending solo to another soprano, taking the verse one solo instead (really a better deal to my way of thinking, but then, I'm not usually one for wanting to sing the notes that hit the ceiling, either...). All's well that ends well, right? Now just one piece to go and the solo puzzle will be done. Yay!
