There's always something else to do!

This morning the furniture people came to pick up the wedge from our sectional so that the defective zipper on one of the cushions can be replaced. I felt like Cindy Lou Who, whose Christmas tree had a light that was out on one side and the Grinch, who wanted to steal the whole tree, told her, "I'll take it back to my workshop, my dear. I'll fix it up there and then bring it back here." They had to take the whole thing just for a zipper. But at least it wasn't as bad as they were thinking at first - they thought they had to take the whole sectional! Obviously the pick-up guys have no clue what they were picking up or why. Hopefully they won't do anything grinchy to it while it's gone. We're supposed to get it back on Saturday.

Also to come home on Saturday are our bikes, which we took to the bike shop yesterday to be tuned up. We could get them before Saturday, but we couldn't get them into the car without flipping up the back seats, which meant there's no room for a car seat, so we have to take two cars. That means Saturday. But there's other stuff to do before we can go biking, anyway. Quinn had a good time at the shop ogling the bike helmets, though he wasn't so thrilled when we got home and I tried to get him to try on his new helmet! He wanted to play with it and couldn't when it was on top of his head! But I'll take the bike shop guy's advice and try to have him try it on every day this week so that he will get used to it. Then we'll have to start getting him used to the bike trailer. Hopefully we'll have a sunny day this week so that I can get outside and wash it out. It's actually not in too bad shape, but you can tell it's been sitting around unused for a bit. Then I'll just be stuck waiting for the instruction booklet (my aunt couldn't find it so I called the company and they're sending me a copy) so that we can hook it up to my bike correctly. Oh, and we also have to figure out where to store it in the garage.... :)
