And so it has come to pass that I Elizabeth Salvo have officially turned 21 years of age. And yesterday it was very much celebrated. First the lovely Heather took me out to breakfast where I wanted a mamosa, the waitress said she wasn't supposed to serve alcohol that early in the morning (we're talking like 815) but she'd see what she could do and managed to come up with one for me. So breakfast at Old Towne consisted of mamosa, scrambled eggs, toast, homefries, and bacon.
Then I joined Heather for her Dr's appointments and in between them we went to the liquor store for my first legal and actually truthfully first purchase of alcohol. I bought a four pack of Segram's passionate kiss bitch beers and a bottle of Captian Morgan's private stock. I got a lottery ticket too and played 1,3,6,8,21 and 14 so we'll see what comes of that. It was funny because they guy almost didn't card me. He was halfway to just checking me out then he cocked his head funny looked at me then asked for id. So I gave it to him to which he says "01 03 1986" (pauses for a minute) "OH so you're 21 TODAY!!" It was kinda funny because he was Indian and had the cute funny accent and everything.
Then I met up with Dad for lunch and he took me to Ichiro for lunch where I had steak, soup, and veggies habachi style and a decanter of warm Saki all to myself (my Dad didn't even finish his). Then they gonged me for my birthday and brought the BEST fried icecream I've ever had.
I spent a few hours by myself at home watching MTV's Parental Control and sipping on one of my Seagram's until Mom got home around 4:30 and Aaron arrived shortly after.
Aaron and I picked up Grammy then met Mom Heather and Josh for dinner at the Outback. I had the large Fosters and I swear it's the biggest glass of anything that I've ever drank in one sitting. And I had awesome swordfish for dinner. Heather Josh Mom and Aaron went in on a pool to see how quickly I'd have to go pee but none of them won...so HAHAHA! Then Heather had to be Heather and get them to sing to me so we had icecream for dessert.
Aaron and I drove back up to Newtown and he watched the kids so Dad Diane and I could go out. We went to Hot Shots where I enjoyed potato skins, Chicken quesadillas and Sex on the Beach. They have this game where it's like those claw games where you try to get a stuffed animal only for this you're going for LIVE LOBSTERS!! And if you get it it spits it out the bottom!! I assume if you get one they cook it for you but I don't really know. It's so cruel and yet so awesome at the same time.
And I'm proud to say that I was up at 9am this morning with NO HANGOVER (as usual :) ) and totally not sick! Although I think I've had enough food to last me a week. But 21 pretty much Rocks, everyone should try it lol!
