Haha!
I got a ticket to the Eurovision songcontest semifinals from the city. And I also got a letter - with Lordi's picture that said something like "Thank you for working at Helsinki city. We appreciate our people and here is a token of our gratitude. Have fun at the semifinals!"
Tee-hee. I met with a work colleague who had also won a ticket. The place was stuffed and I lost my new waterbottle as it was forbidden to bring any bottles whatsoever to the arena. What a shame.
We went for a walk around the arena and ate fastfood at the way.
It was quite strange feeling to whitness the Eurovision songcontest-thing here in Finland! Made me feel patriotic. :D But it was great. I doubt that that kind of an competetion will ever arrive here again. Definitely not by Hanna Pakarinen and her song that is pleading people to leave her alone, poor soul.
Oh yes, those postcard things about Finland were great. They were somewhat sarcastic about Finland and the believes about Finns.
The opening ceremony and the modern interpretation about our national epic Kalevala was also allright. Mikko Leppilampi and Jaana Pelkonen did a good job at the stage.
What about the songs, well. There was some basic eurovision shit, and some were good. Israel got "buuus" from the audience and Denmark with their pink transvetite received quite good applauds.. as well as Turkey. I think there are so many shake it shake it- songs this year. o.o
What else, mothers day is on sunday and I am heading towars pohojoispohojammaa tomorrow.
Summer is coming. ^^
