32 degrees in Hades

Doesn't cut it.

i wish i had cliches enough to express how weird it is when my dad is right about something geographical and i am not.

Between Christmas & New Year's my dad has a week off. This happens to be the same time period that i will be home, and my sister will not have school. So daddy asks me, hey Sarah! Where would you like to go? And i say, Dad, i'd love to see Toronto.

And for some reason, though we only have 6 days for this vacation, he agrees. I suggested Toronto for the short trip, as i was mistakenly under the impression it was right next door (road-trip speakin') to Detroit. Um, no, that's WINDSOR. I forgive myself for this error as i was only 10 when i last visited the Windsor/Detroit area, and my subconscious probably wanted to think it'd been to Toronto so bad it substituted it in there, much nearer to Wisconsin. We're also visiting relatives in Toledo, Ohio, and seeing the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. This is a glamour trip for the AGES, i assure you.

I want to see Toronto as some of my friends really want to move there, and i'm now on a kick called "Graduate School in Toronto Would Rock!" The problems associated with this are: 1) bad puns 2) dearth of grades and money to attend grad school and 3)the fact i know nothing about this city.

So if anyone's been that way i'm open to suggestions. Otherwise google-tripping it is.
