I got a call from Amy last night saying that she and Laura were in town visiting with Suzanne, who just moved to GR to go to Kendall. So after I got out of work this afternoon, I met them at Rivertown and went shopping with them. I always have so much fun and so many laughs with those ladies. Rachel and I grew up with them and they are practically sisters to us. We went to the Olive Garden for dinner, where I not only spilled Zuppa on me, but also managed to splash myself with the pasta sauce. That's talent!
What I really wanted to write about was that we went to Barnes & Noble at the mall so Laura could look at some books. Amy, Suzy, and I sat in the children's section to wait for her, and I started to look at the books in front of us. There were Disney/Nickelodeon musical storybooks (is that what they're called? the ones with all the square buttons on the right side that you push to make sounds at different points in the story)...and there was a WALL-E one!!!! YAYYYY So I played with it and it made me smile a lot. I can't wait to buy the DVD November 18th. :)
And then there were also pop-up books ahead of us. We looked at a couple fairy ones Suzy spotted, but then I saw THE pop-up book to end all pop-up books. A Star Wars guide to the galaxy pop-up book. Imagine my glee as I opened pages that had pop-ups of a Rancour, the Millenium Falcon, a Taun-Taun, the Mos Eisley cantina, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker (with the appropriate colored light-sabers which LIT UP!), and Dart Vader's mask, which revealed aged/scarred Anakin Skywalker (a la Jedi) underneath!!!!
AHHH! So cooooool! :D
Yes, I am a geek.
It's been a good weekend so far, but I have YET to start on the loads of homework I should be working on. ACK!
