I also wanted to write a little update about what I've been up to since I came home on Monday.

First of all, AJ rode up with me, and he drove the boring stretch from the bridge to Gladstone, so it was great to have him along. What made it even better is that we had time to catch up and talk, which is always wonderful.

On Monday night, I just vegged out at home. I went to bed pretty early, and ended up sleeping for 12 hours. :) I also took a 1.5 hour nap on Tuesday. Mom and I met up with Gail & Kim, Janelle & Kelly, Lynn & Erin, and Tricia, Mary Anne, and Maripatt at the Log Cabin for a Moms & Daughters dinner. I was sad that not everyone could be there, but it was a lovely time nonetheless. Everyone who missed out will be having dinner at Ferdinand's on the 13th (luckies!).

After dinner, Kelly, Kim, and I went over to Erin's and watched Enchanted. I loved it! Patrick Dempsey is such a stud. Cute movie.

Yesterday, I vegged out during the day, did some crossword puzzles in the newspapers, hung out with the cats...good times. :) Then I got ready and met up with mom downtown for some shopping. We went to visit my aunt Elaine at her salon, and I had her even out my bangs since I don't trust myself quite yet.

Mom and I met up with Dad and did a little more shopping, then the three of us went to Hardee's to eat. Oh Hardee's. :)

I left Mom and Dad and drove over to my friend Amy's apartment in Escanaba. She and her husband, Buddy, have been living below Buddy's dad's house since they got married last summer. Well, they only have a month left to live in that crappy setup, because they just bought a house! Exciting exciting. She and I walked (with her cute dog, Scout) over to the house, and she showed me around. It'll be a great first house for them. Four bedrooms, a huge yard, and it's really close to Buddy's family. We stuck around there a while and talked with their neighbors. I got pretty cold, though, because there is no heat there yet. They have to get their plumbing and heating fixed before they can move in, because some pipes burst this winter. :( The people who lived there previously did not take good care of the house, and it was up for foreclosure, but Amy and Buddy bought it first, for a great price. They're excited, and I'm excited for them. The next time I'm up here, they'll probably be moved in and having a barbecue! Funnnn.

Amy and I walked back to her apartment and warmed up. She burned me some Simon and Milo, so watch out, Jackie, I'll probably be sharing them with you. ;)

Anddd after that I just came home and went to sleep at the same time as my parents.

Today has been pretty uneventful except for crossword puzzles, watching What Not to Wear, cleaning the kitchen, getting incensed at the Vagina Monologues stuff in the local press, and hugging my kitties.

Mom and I leave for Madison, WI tomorrow! I get to see Rach and Kev and their new apartment! Yayyyyy! And I am almost 100% recovered from my nasty cold. Just in time.
