I am terrified to do this assignment (experiencing another culture).
I think my options are to either go to Diversions (GLBT club) or God's Kitchen (soup kitchen). I'm afraid my prof won't think the latter is a good option for the assignment, but I'm too afraid to ask her b/c she'll probably tell me I should have started the assignment by now.
Jacob (Powers) said he'd go to Diversions with me, so I wouldn't have to go alone (big fear). I think there's karaoke tonight, and I've been wanting to do karaoke for while...but there's a big cover charge for minors (like $10 or more) and I don't want to spend money I don't really have on that. And I don't want to get weird looks for being straight. hahahaha....
However, I'm also terrified to go to God's Kitchen alone (I don't like the idea of being downtown alone), but I don't really want to take someone with me and draw attention. I have a feeling I'd have to interact with people there to get the full experience, but I'm not outgoing AT ALL.
