again!
This apartment is ATROCIOUS. I just kind of cleaned the kitchen...but I think I seriously need to take a whole day to clean everything. I can't stand it. But the bad thing is I like to clean to procrastinate from doing homework...and I have stats homework due tomorrow. Maybe if I just clean my room and lock myself in so I can't see the rest...then do the stats in my room...
Anyhow, I have to leave for work at Great Lakes soon. Let's hope I make some good tips so I can put gas in my Explorer. Note to self: research Explorer's behavior online to see what might be wrong with it.
I am mailing out my rent check to Jayme's mom today, and while writing her a letter, I realized that I will be moving into my NEW apartment starting August 1 - less than 3 weeks! That's EXCITING! =) I'll finally be able to have my OWN place again, for the first time since Ramblewood. By "my own" I mean that my name is on the original lease. I can't wait to live with Jackie and Jess. I need to let them know that rent will be due on Aug 1 so I'm not in a crunch with that...also, we still owe Kelly (the girl we're subleasing from) $475 between the three of us. =\ I haven't gotten an angry phone call from her yet, so I'm sure we're okay as long as we get it to her sometime soon.
Ohhhh money. I should start financial counseling. And a budget. Carolyn, we talked about this. What happened? I'll tell you what happened - I never really wanted to do it in the first place, and then I forgot, like all the million other thoughts that have popped into my head this summer. If we can, let's try to work on one sometime, if you're still willing to help me.
Also speaking of money, I might not be getting the same amount of financial aid this year...which means I'll probably owe the University some money in the winter for the first time since Freshman year. Blahhh. I guess there's no difference in paying it now or paying loans back later, eh?
I know that the last few posts I've made are peppered (okay, overseasoned) with complaints. I'm sorry. This summer is just not turning out to be what I had imagined. Sigh.
On a POSITIVE note, I bought blueberries from Meijer for $.99 yesterday!! Mmm Mmm good.
Okay, now I should go eat a quick lunch/get ready for work.
