They Only Have But One Trick Up Their Sleeves.

Yesterday, Stefan, Nate, and I went to the Pyramid Brewery and then walked over to Safeco Field for this game.

And I don't think I've ever had so much fun at a baseball game. Stefan and I were a little drunk off of the special Crystalweizen and I was belligerent (well, not like being inebriated makes any difference ...especially when I'm at Safeco Field) and the Mariners totally shouldn't have won, oh, but they did. In the pinch-hitter-hits-one-off-the-All-Star-reliever type fashion.

However, I was really embarassed to see that so many people were rooting for the Red Sox in our own hometown field. And granted, I was all for the Red Sox during their 2004 run, but I never, ever want to hear the crowd chanting go Red Sox ever again.

I think the best part was telling Stefan that there's no way Yuniesky Betancourt, our quick but light-hitting shortstop wasn't going to hit a home-run and then all of a sudden we hear the big crack of a homerun and my jaw just drops open.

My voice is lost for today. The garlic fries tore a hole in my stomach. I paid seven dollars for a beer. So yeah. Incredible times.

Sorry I couldn't stay at the party last night, though. Because I'm in my shirt and tie and I've got to jet.

And uh yeah, no more drinking until Vegas.

Up, up, and AWAY.
