Yeah. Alchemy is the science of transmuting one thing into another basically.

U-um...let me put it this way...

Say I had...erm...a pile of stone and a mound of dirt. According to the principle of Equivalent Exchange that states that anything I sacrifice, I will obtain something of equal value, then I can make...say...a spear with a head made out of stone or something if I have enough material. The mound of dirt has the same organic matter as wood, so it can be transmuted into wood. The stone obviously has the same composition as a stone spear-head so...it would work.

Well alchemy could be useful for protection...

Also, for building and making things. There might be something that a person needs but can't find here in the City...if I have the right material, I can make it for them.
