a very unpolished train of thought
I was just watching some movie about a fictional president from earlier in the 90's and I realized something that is almost baffling to me. Every single positive representation of a fictitious american president that I can recall, tv, movie, novel that I can recall, which would probably be the early-mid 90's, has been one of a progressive, liberal democrat... and yet... I look to our current administration and I am confused.
I watch shows like the west wing, which portray a man who cares only about upholding the freedom and quality of life for america's citizens, then I look at Dubyah who appears to care only for making a buck and fixing the 'problems' outside our borders.
now... as the subject indicates this is far from a fully formed or voiced train of thought, but I just had to get it down before it fled me entirely. I'd greatly appreciate comments and other points of view on the matter
