I´m in Puerto Vallarjta on vacation.
Today I´m checking all the online goodness I can at 20 pesos per hour because it keeps me out of the sun. I came close to spontaneously combusting yesterday. Thank goodness for Lidocane-laced Aloe Vera gel.
The Condo/Resort where we´re staying is nice (to the point that we just set foot outside for the first time only yesterday) with better food than we had at a restaurant raved about in the tourist magazine. To be fair, we didn´t partake solely of the specialty of the house, so when you aren´t eating pancakes at IHOP you should expect a little suckage, if you follow the analogy...
I´ve tried every flavor of Margarita so far (only during the 2-for-1 Happy Hour because I´m a tightfisted git) and they´re all pretty good. However, I must have a light allergy to Papaya since it tastes rotten to me, but others tell me it´s nice and fresh. More for them, then.
My bringing along a huge bottle of Ibuprofen has been a godsend for staving off hangovers, sunburn discomfort, and other pain blocking needs (like the check for highly touted but underperforming restaurant). Although it would be tempting to go to a local Farmacia and self prescibe some of the easily available medications here, I most likely won´t due to my miserly nature rather than any fear of getting them back into the USA. Plus there´s that whole `fun with side effects´ angle...
Now back to reading books and staying in the shade for sunburn-boy.
