baritonejeff. Unlike he, I am choosing Mad Men, my new absolutely favorite show. (He, being more scholarly and brilliant, chose classical music. I'm just more shallow. Oh well. )
1. The first character I fell in love with: Joan. Then quickly after, Peggy.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Don. Yes, he is so very, very flawed and unfaithful but I can't help but love the guy.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I don't know how to answer this because I don't know who others like or don't like. I can only suspect.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: See #3. But my favorite is Peggy.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Betty, and my feelings about her changed very early on. She is a wretched mother. Both of my parents treated me with the same distain and dislike that she shows Sally. And, coincidentally, Sally and I were the same age during that era.
6. The character I would shag anytime: I wouldn't "shag" anybody *anytime*.
7. The character I want to be like: Not really, but if I *had* to pick: Burt Cooper. He's eccentric (OCD?), wise (like how he dealt with the Dick/Don situation) and comfortably well off with a beautiful BIG office. Another coincidental - I had a crush on the actor who plays Burt (Robt Morse I think is his name) when I was young. He was in a movie that was something about Married Men.
8. The character I'd slap: Pete. Again and again. For so many, many reasons.
9. A pairing that I love: Mrs. Whitman (forgot her first name, dang it) and Don (as in "The Suitcase")
10. A pairing that I hate: Joan and her rapist husband.
12. My five favorite characters: Peggy, Mrs. Whitman, Don, Sal (who is coming back, yay!), Jimmy Barrett (just kidding), Joan.
13. My five least favorite characters: Pete, Peter, Jane, Roger, and Campbell.
14. Which character I am most like: Sally the lost child. (Though not as lost as Bobby, who we know very little about!)
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: I'd love to make Peggy laugh hysterically - a big belly laugh, and maybe be with her when she got high again. :D And I'd love to "out" Pete Campbell. (Have I mentioned that I don't like him?)
That was fun!
