Well, I tried

I went off the Provigil for a week, and, of course, had Narcolepsy nearly every day. Today, I went back on it, hoping that the depression is from a build up rather than a daily dose. First thing that happened? Soon as I finished my after-breakfast coffee, I fell asleep at the table. Several times. MANY times. So I moved to the computer, thinking that would help.

Nope. Fell asleep many times there. I finally woke up, feeling strange (probably oxygen deprived from my head being on my chest and airway being nearly closed). I fought and fought, and here I am... it is after 3:00 pm and I have persevered. But the last three hours have been pretty much a wash. I changed some of my journal icons (I love icons!) and read most of my current Flist... and fought sleep, and won. Sorta.

This weekend I have been productive! I have nearly completed one book cover order (4 book covers, padded, which means 8 since I always make an identical one for our inventory), and stayed awake both days. It was rainy and nasty out here, so we were snug as two bugs here at home. Played a lot of lexulous together because we enjoy that. Our computer desks are side by side, with a printer stand inbetween, so we chat as we play, and listen to music.

Yesterday Bear made some wonderful Oatmeal cookies with 60% bittersweet chocolate (good for you) from a recipe that lilithsaintcrow shared. I can only have one, and really shouldn't have that since my blood sugar is so high. STILL high. I am taking boatloads of insulin and it is still high. I'm on a "Z-Pack" antibiotic, and hopefully that will kill the upper respiratory infection the doctor says that I have. That should bring my blood sugars down, but it hasn't yet. I have two more pills to take.

I also finished an audiobook while I was sewing, called Sing Them Home by Stephanie Kallos, author of Broken For You, which was very good. Am currently reading A Great Deliverance by Elizabeth George, the first Inspector Lynley mystery in the series-- reading this on my Kindle and loving it.

I have some pictures to share (always click on them to enlarge, as these are so small). First I want to tell you about Friday. There was a commotion behind me as I was talking to my husband on the phone, the dogs were barking and playing and having a ball. Once I got off the phone, I turned around and saw

Apparently the doggies took Bella's unused puppy pad (she uses it if necessary during the night) and shredded it! It was spread further to the right and left than the picture shows. And silly me, I removed the shreds from Bella's mouth before snapping the photo!

Here's the other culprit, Spencer... I couldn't help but laugh!

Here are a couple of photos of the book cover I made for inventory... "flat cats"

This is the front (sorry, the bottom got cut off so you can't see the book mark sticking out the bottom)

This is the book cover, open.
