365 day post/photos-- from the Weekend and today

Mar 16, 2009 12:44

This weekend was dreary and wet so we opted to stay home. That sort of weather is bad for our arthritis and my fibromyalgia.

I worked at my computer a lot on Saturday and Sunday, and did some reading as well. I spent several hours on Sunday pumping my left leg with the special blow up massager that I have. It goes from toes to hip, and helps to move some of the fluid from my left. It did help a lot.

Last night, we started playing Lexulous on Facebook (scrabble-type) and didn't want to stop! We are addicted. If anyone on Facebook likes to play, let me know and we can start a game! I have been in one game with marie for almost 2 weeks now!

I took several pictures this weekend, and want to share them now.

These are of Phoebe, our 5 year old "tortie" cat with attitude (they ALL have it, Tortoise shells!), taken in front of my computer.

This is Bella trying to sniff Phoebe on the desk. You can see the controller on my motorized chair as well.

This is Phoebe on the left side of my very messy, book laden desk. Bear's desk is to the left. She loves to walk from desk to desk, knocking everything off. Both desks are ever a work in progress!

Because photos of Phoebe are rare, I took a lot while I could!

Bear getting ready to cook. You can see how inaccessible this kitchen is to someone in a wheelchair. The cabinets are hard for me to reach to open even when I am standing!

A couple of steps across the room to the sink to wash and peel potatoes. We've not remodeled or painted this room at all since we moved in. We hate the orange counters/surfaces.

Bear singing!

Where we have to put the bread maker when Bear makes bread!

Today I noticed that the Christmas cactus is blooming! It blooms frequently, much more often than it used to, at twice a year. If you look closely, you'll see purple crocii outside the window at the bottom.

Bear in the living room. See our 10' Ceiling? And the cross stitch behind him.

"Naked" Bella and her baby. You can see the yellow sleeve that goes over my leg for pumping on the far left of the sofa.

Spencer at the front door. You can see the gouges in the door and frame to the right, our bedroom door, that the motorized chair has made. It is a narrow doorway and my aim wasn't the best when I was first learning to use it. The box on the floor to the far left is the box of doggy toys.

Finally, this is a photo of the bead curtain we put up between our bedroom and bathroom. This is looking from the bathroom into the bedroom.
