And I have a temporary aide coming tomorrow for two hours. I'm not even anxious about it right now (notice I said "right now!"). They think I'll be taking a shower with her her -- uh, no. It takes me a long time to before I feel comfortable enough to do that (and I'm still not really "comfortable" with it). I'll have her do some house work, and heat up my lunch for me.
The nurse who called said that the woman they hired with me in mind quit. Every time they think someone is going to be great, they quit. It is hard to get good help here -- lots of people out of work, but there are lots who simply don't WANT to work.
Some of the people that have worked for me were in worse shape than me -- either smelled like they needed a shower desperately (or hosing down... seriously), or have horrible, black teeth that make for horrible breath, or they are lazy...
At least there is someone coming tomorrow. Poor Ellen is going without income all this time -- her husband is on disability and they have a teenage son. She was shocked that they wouldn't let her work.
