Birthday Fun.. big one-seven!!

Well I got back from snowboarding on the 31st, and dived right into birthday festivities. after going to popolos for lunch (the restaurant where Norah Jones started playing jazz piano), my family surprised me with a Dora the Explorer-themed birthday, a couple of DVDs i've wanted, Estee Lauder perfume and makeup, Cranium Turbo Edition, and best of all a hermit crab! I named her Monet. I recently discovered that she is missing a front leg, but no worries, it'll grow back when she molts. Then I went to get a manicure/pedicure for the first time in my whole life. It was okay, but language barriers made it really hard to get the full experience. And she kept tickling my foot.. lucky for her my foot didn't spaz and kick her! then steve picked me up and took me to on the border for dinner. he was going to embarrass me and tell them it was my birthday and all, but then they came out and surprised someone else there, and it was so dumb. so i didn't miss out on anything. oh, and steve got me a bunch of cool fen shui stuff for my room. he went to town on an asian theme, complete with takeout box and tissue dragons/fish. we went to his house and played cranium with his family. before the ball dropped, we played some dominos, and i think i did pretty okay for never have played before. at midnight we each got a spoonful of blackeyed peas and welcomed the new year with a glass of sparkling white grape juice, my favorite.

Ahhhh school is tomorrow. I havent studied as much as I should've for the final exams i have to make up. :( :( :( well goodbye christmas break and hello stress.
