Good to Know

This is much longer version of a list I've been compiling in my head for years. In addition to some films on their list, my list includes Murder in the First and American History X.

These movies remind me of the war movie effect where directors and movie-makers just leave reality behind in their attempt to be so real. There is nothing realistic about them at all.

(Not talking about American History X, though)

Grave of the Fireflies was on my list, but some movies, such as The Cable Guy and What's Eating Gilbert Grape are on my list but absent here. I'm sure there's a few others.

Quills and Sybil(1976), although I saw Sybil when I was pretty young so it might not be that bad.

I would put The Departed on the list, and remove United 93 since I thought that movie was just plain shitty, as opposed to good, but hard to watch again

It's pretty rare that if I think a movie is good I wouldn't want to watch it again. I immediately rewatched Grave of the Fireflies after I first watched it on DVD, and went and saw Million Dollar Baby a couple days after the first time I saw it.

I think the closest I've come is The Preposition, which I called a good movie that I never want to see again. But even that I've had the urge to pick up on dvd lately but haven't found at Best Buy when I've been in there.
