Visit this and help fill in my Johari's Window, because it just seems like a cool thing to do.

I am never more patriotic than when the Olympics roll around. Suddenly it doesn't matter that I am not an athlete, that I generally hate sports, and that I hate the fact we put so much money towards athletics and not enough towards starving children. Suddenly, I bask in the glory of shiny metals and the performance of my snowy country and people I have never heard of. I want them to do well. I want them to succeed. I want to live vicariously through them.

On a completely unrelated note, I had my interview yesterday for being an RA again next year. It seemed to go well, and my manager has assured me not to worry. I'm excited about the prospect of returning to staff next year with a slew of new people, though, with it being my last year (at least, on campus), it's going to be an emotional rollercoaster as well.

My family has expressed a newfound interest in visiting me here. Mum and Alicia are considering coming down on Alicia's March break for a couple of days, and Dad has a meeting in Windsor the week after that. I guess some people would squirm at the idea of having their parents visit their residence and see them in this environment that is so different from home, but I'm really excited about it. "Here, Mum- this is how I am, this is how I live- and I'm surviving." It'll be fun to be able to give them the grand tour, introduce them to my kooky friends (and introduce my friends to my kooky family ;) ), and show them that I am indeed independent and responsible here.

Of course, I'll have to clean my room first.
